Jon and Kayce's wedding is the perfect example of how despite a day of pouring rain, you can still have a seamless, gorgeous, relaxed day...the key is just making it work and going with the flow! We literally hadn't had rain in a while, and this was the day it decided to rain cats and dogs most of the day. Luckily, L'Abri has a beautiful rustic barn for the reception that they were able to convert for the ceremony too. We took advantage of every pocket of no rain and ran outside for photos. Fortunately, Jon and Kayce made the decision to do a "first look" and see each other before the ceremony. They had a private meeting on a wooden bridge just the two of them while the sun came out momentarily. Since they had already seen each other, this allowed us to take advantage of the rain free moments prior to the ceremony for any family portraits we could do. This also allowed them to spend time with each other looking forward to the fun evening instead of stressing about the rain.
It was a beautiful wedding, and like usual, the rain cleared up in the evening for a dramatic sunset sky. The best part of the day? Seeing how much Jon and Kayce make each other laugh and the connection they have...congrats you two!
