A few weeks ago I had the honor of photographing a beautiful stylized shoot out in the country in Lancaster, South Carolina. I was contacted by Charlotte wedding and event planner, Heather Guthrie of At the Heels Weddings, to photograph her wedding visions with the help of some AMAZING vendors. It was like a wedding day morning with hair stylists, makeup artist, florist, jeweler, and even mom and dad of one of the models. One of the best parts of doing stylized shoots is meeting such talented vendors in the wedding business, who then become friends. The shoot was held at one of my favorite venues, The Ivy Place. You might remember I had an engagement there back in the fall. Heather had set up two different styled tables and looks, Southern and Platinum, and both were absolutely beautiful! This will be "Part 1" of the shoot featuring the Southern style and the beautiful Madison. Madison was our bride for the day and you would never had guessed that this was her first time modeling! She was a pro. Not only did she look stunning, but she was able to maintain true southern poise and grace during ridiculous wind on a very cold day! We ventured all around the beautiful Ivy Place and of course had to strike some poses with an incredible rustic barn. The barn was a perfect backdrop for the Southern styled table. Heather used an old country door as the table and for the table numbers she used the door knob- too cute! The colors were pinks, peach, and mint green- one of my favorite combos.
Being new to North Carolina, I absolutely loved being able to photograph a stylized country southern wedding shoot. What I loved even more was meeting these lovely ladies and spending the day with them :)
