I say it a lot…and I’m pretty sure I said it in my last wedding post, but I have.the.best.clients. Especially coming out of a stressful covid year the year prior, it has been such a blessing to have met so many amazing couples this year. Liz and I met over coffee to discuss her wedding. I love meeting with potential clients prior to booking. It really gives us a chance to click and feel each other’s vibes out. Liz and I ended up talking for 2 hours, so needless to say we “vibed.” She mentioned wanting to do an engagement session somewhere with cool textures, with a garden, but not country. I immediately knew Wing Haven Gardens in Myers Park was the perfect place! Not only is it a gorgeous garden(in many way’s even more magical than Duke Mansion’s), but it has so many cool textures and perspectives to work with shooting wise. Iron gates, brick, ivy, stone fountains, flowering arbors, stone, canopying trees, reflecting ponds…the list goes on.
Clearly, I was excited to shoot at Wing Haven again, especially with Liz and to meet her fiancé Paul. Paul is no less amazing than Liz, and together they are just the most fun loving, perfect couple. They compliment each other so well, and I can tell they have that special intangible factor that makes a marriage thrive. I have no doubt in my mind that their wedding reception will be fun and crazy in the best way possible, and I can not wait to capture it all!
