One of the greatest joys of my job as a photographer over the past ten years is being blessed with really amazing clients. On a wedding day, the photographer/client relationship and connection, in my opinion, is just as important as talent. We spend ALL day together capturing crazy moments and intimate moments. We need to be able to vibe with you on the dance floor as well as become part of the family during the tender emotional moments. A client that trusts my creative vision when I say to do something “seemingly crazy”, is my match made in heaven! “I promise it will look amazing!”, is something I say alot! My favorite is when I can sense a perfect wedding team in the making upon first meeting, and that’s exactly what happened with Brittney and Hunter. I met with Brittney and her mom at Optimist Hall over some coffee to chat about her wedding day, and I instantly loved Brittney and her vision. Then she mentioned the icing on the cake of the wedding….a MECHANICAL BULL!! I mean, automatically this meant this was going to be a fun wedding and a fun crowd. Then I met Hunter at their dreamy engagement session, which just further solidified how amazing of a couple they are together. As if their wedding couldn’t even get better….their venue has miniature ponies!!!! Yes, we played, and photographed with absolutely adorable mini horses, who of course quickly became part of the bridal party.
When I connect with couples and families like this, it makes the wedding day so special for me. Hunter and Brittney just ooze love, playfulness, appreciation, and mutual respect for one another. Spending time with them you realize how much relationships and family means to them, and I was honored to be able to capture that.
