Documenting a rehearsal dinner may be my new favorite. Sarah and John live in California, so I wasn’t able to do their engagement photos. I was so excited when they asked me to photograph their rehearsal because it gave me the opportunity to not only meet them before the wedding day, but also get a chance to photograph them. It was like a mini practice for their wedding the next day. Not only that, but I was able to meet their closest friends and family at the rehearsal and then see all those familiar faces the next day at the wedding. It just made it extra special to get to know their awesome family even more with that extra evening. Of course, the icing on the cake was that their rehearsal dinner was at the historic Duke Mansion in Charlotte, which is the most gorgeous backdrop to any event!
